I love history and I am not agreeing or disagreeing with either side in this response. I believe that facts and history actually do have a lot to it. Recently, I have spent a lot of time reading the history. Especially the civil war that many have forgotten the actual facts. I try to see both sides, always. I know there were ancestors of us all in that war, (on both sides… whether we like it or not, they were ordered into war), the war where the Republicans had fought for slaves to be freed. (Grant/Lincoln) This is not what they intended. I read an article that I found very interesting. (see below)
“As late as the mid-1930s, African American Republican John R. Lynch, who had represented Mississippi in the House during and after Reconstruction, summed up the sentiments of older black voters and upper middle-class professionals: “The colored voters cannot help but feel that in voting the Democratic ticket in national elections they will be voting to give their indorsement [sic] and their approval to every wrong of which they are victims, every right of which they are deprived, and every injustice of which they suffer.”2"
Now lets all join together and invite a neighbor or friend over for a brunch, bar-b-q, or good ol’ fashioned dinner. Love love and Hate hate. Let’s remember that the Republican party fought for freedom and now the Democrat party also fights against oppression. They both want the same things but people with so much hate in their heart (People need church… just saying) are building more hate for their own agenda. The people should fight to come together as “One Nation Under God”
